Travis Lindsay, beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin and Friend, was born in Fresno, California on August 10, 1993. He passed away on March 8, 2017 at the age of 23 near Merced, California. He was a lifelong resident of Chowchilla, California.

Travis graduated from Chowchilla Union High School in 2010 and was finishing his studies at Merced College for Cisco Networking. He was recently invited to join the honors society Phi Theta Kappa.

Travis had a gift for listening to others and always helped others through their problems, even without meeting them in person. Through his passion for gaming and computer technology, he had friends all over the world. He was quick to offer his assistance to others for all of their technology needs.

Travis loved the mountains, museums, gaming, any technology, and had an avid thirst for knowledge; he prided himself on knowing a “fair bit” of something about everything. He was always ready to go for any adventure or trip with family. Travis had a full of life spirit that encouraged all that were around him.

On any given weekend, the Lindsays could be found traveling to a wide array of destinations. Travis so loved this time with his mom and dad and the numerous other family members and friends that always accompanied them. Dinnertime at the Lindsays was always time to discuss the latest news and events. He kept his parents informed and always guessing at what would be next. He loved being silly, singing in the car and telling corny jokes. He enjoyed time camping and playing table games with his family.

Travis looked forward to the many adventures he and his family would go on, especially those which included his sister. Travis and Heather were a team; they were close in age, and close at heart. When they were little, their favorite thing to do was watch the sunset behind their grandparent’s home. By high school, their “Jeeping” quests were LEGENDARY! The bond that he and Heather shared will never be forgotten.

Travis is preceded in death by his grandparents, Crolie and Lula Lindsay of Chowchilla, CA.

Travis is survived by his parents Randy and Angela Lindsay of Chowchilla, CA; Sister, Heather Lindsay of Los Angeles, CA; Sister of the heart and Cousin, Brittany Rondel of Arpajon, France; Grandmother, Sheila Cook of Chowchilla, CA; Grandfather, Eddie Cox of Coleman, OK; Step-Grandfather, Wayne Gilbert of Madera, CA; Aunts & Uncles: Charles Lindsay (Debra, Michelle & Crystal), Betty Polston and her husband Clyde (Victor, Trinette, & Tim), Crolie Lindsay Jr. and his wife Judy (Jewel, Suzanne, Shawnan, & Carol), Rod Lindsay and his wife Joy, (Maryelyn & Marastella) Tamara Schunk (Marydith & Danielle), Tomasann Miller and her husband Philip (Jennifer, Kiana & Crystal), Stacy Schoolen and her husband David (Courtney), Casey Gilbert and his wife Michelle (Draven & Nixon), as well as numerous relatives and countless friends. He touched many lives throughout the world and will forever be missed.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Chowchilla Cemetery, 23359 Road 14 ½, Chowchilla. A reception will follow at the Chowchilla SFA (Portuguese Hall) immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Travis Lindsay Memorial Scholarship Fund. More information will follow.
